Many parents fear the cost or think it is not necessary with baby teeth. This is a shame, because treatment at the dental hygienist is covered 100% until the age of 18.
Up to 18 years of age, treatments at the dental hygienist are completely free; a visit to the dental hygienist does not deduct from the deductible and is therefore 100% reimbursed.
From the patient’s point of view, we attach great importance to good cooperation between oral care providers. By consulting regularly ,together we ensure an optimal treatment process.
Are you under the treatment of another oral health care specialist? Please let us know, we will then coordinate the treatment path optimally for you in consultation with the other practitioner.

Up to age 18, treatments fall within basic care and are usually 100% reimbursed by your insurer.
Are you over the age of 18? Then you need supplemental dental insurance to be eligible for reimbursement at the dental hygienist or dentist. You can purchase supplemental dental insurance from your insurer.
Do you have dental insurance? You automatically qualify for reimbursement at the dental hygienist or dentist.
Depending on the policy conditions and the budget already spent within the current calendar year, you are entitled to full or partial reimbursement.
Rates are set annually by the Dutch Healthcare Authority.
All dental hygienists and dentists in the Netherlands must adhere to this. The rates can be found on the Mondzorgkosten website .
Do you want to know in advance exactly what the cost will be? Request a budget.
Because these are medical treatments, it is not always possible to provide a budget based solely on telephone or email contact. A look inside the mouth is often minimally necessary to give you an accurate calculation.
